The God Who Builds - Live Record

TGWB-FINAL

In looking through the Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, one of the things we see is God taking the initiative to create. He turns nothing into something, and the old he makes new. He fashioned a world, a kingdom, and a people for His glory.

He is the God who builds.

And as we look back on the history of Summit Church, from the early days until now, we see this over and over again. He has taken us from different places and backgrounds and made us one. He’s built families, rebuilt lives, and is building faith in us—a faith that looks to the future, having tasted and seen the goodness of the Lord, and filled with hope for what He will do.

Recorded live at Summit Church, The God Who Builds features original songs from worship leaders at Summit Church. It is an outpouring of hope and an expression of a people whose eyes are set on Jesus, longing for more of the Spirit’s power, and anticipating the activity of the God who builds.

The full-length record releases on October 25th, 2019.

Spirit Pour Out is the title track from The God Who Builds, the debut live record from Summit Church. And it’s the first single that we’ve released.

Spirit Pour Out was originally recorded on Andy & Rachel Graham's debut E.P. Awake. The song is a prayer of intercession for healing and reconciliation in our city.

We live in the midst of a broken world full of the evidence of sin and evil, and yet the church is called to bring hope and peace by making the presence and glory of God known in the midst of darkness. Through the prayers of Christ’s people and the activity of the Spirit, the Kingdom of God will be known in greater measure. This song reflects that sentiment and echoes the prayer of Jesus: "Father let Your Kingdom come”.

Since the recording of Awake this song has grown from a gentle prayer of petition to a powerful declaration of our family of faith. This new arrangement reflects that shift.

You can also listen to our second single, Abounding. Watch the song story video below to find out more.

Revive Us

Revive-Us-1920x1080

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” - Philippians 4:4

Scripture clearly calls us––even commands us––to be people filled with joy. Yet the difficulties of life can often leave us feeling weary and joyless.

Believing that God himself is our never failing fountain of joy, we are setting apart a time this Fall to gather and seek Him, asking Him to Revive Us.

Join us and our guest, Scotty Smith, on the evenings of October 6th-9th as we sing, pray, sit under the teaching of God’s Word, seeking to be refreshed as the Spirit applies the gospel to our hearts in overwhelmingly glorious and joy-fueling ways! (read more about Scotty below)

WHEN: October 6th-9th (Sunday - Wednesday) at 6:30pm
WHERE: University Campus

Childcare is provided.

The Lord is My Shepherd

TLIMS-MAIN-1920x1080

Join us this summer as we journey through one of the most famous passages of scripture, Psalm 23.

Ups and downs, joy and pain, this is life as we know it. Through it all, we have the promise that we aren’t left alone. We have a Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, and he can be trusted to care for us and lead us home. In this series, The Lord is My Shepherd, we are studying Psalm 23 and looking at life under his loving guidance and care.

Miss a weekend over Summer Vacation? No problem. Listen to all the teachings online.

FRIDAY, MAY 17TH AT 6PM - UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

We envision a future at Summit Church where God is multiplying disciples, leaders, churches, and our gospel influence in southwest Florida and beyond. And we rejoice that God has done and is doing these things in a variety of ways, one being in our worship ministry.

Through our worship school, under the leadership of Andy and Rachel Graham, God has been raising up a group of worship leaders that He is using mightily in our midst.  One of those ways is by birthing new songs in their hearts, songs that tell the story of where we are as a church, songs that declare how God is meeting us in our needs, songs that give a vivid picture of the character of our Father, the glory of the Son, and the activity of the Holy Spirit.

We are overjoyed that God has chosen to honor the posture of these men and women by giving them original songs for the building up of our body at Summit, and for others with whom we have gospel influence.

On May 17th at 6pm we are going to gather at our University Campus to record and capture a live night of worship as we sing these songs. Some are well known since we’ve been singing them at our 3 congregations and some will be new. This is an opportunity for us to celebrate God’s activity, and it is also an answer to prayer. God is raising up men and women who are leading by using their gifts for His glory.

Come celebrate with us and pray with us that God would use these songs here in southwest Florida and throughout our world for his fame and glory.

Xpansion Focus - Ireland

Slide for website.jpg

God is moving in a mighty way in Irish Schools through the faithfulness of our Xpansion partners, Foundation in Christ Ministries. They have seen thousands of kids coming to faith in Christ through a character-based curriculum that allows them to share the gospel with children all throughout the Emerald Isle. As well as their primary focus of ministry in schools, they also have a counseling ministry with 3 full-time staff members. Ireland has one of the highest rates of mental health illness in Europe with some 18.5 per cent of the Irish population recorded as having a mental health disorder.

Come pray for this move of God to continue and learn how you can help Foundation in Christ Ministries reach their goal of sharing the gospel with Every Child in Ireland.
