Summit Students Summer Camp

Summit Students is excited to present Student Camp 2022!

When: August 5th-8th
Where: Lake Swan Camp, Melrose, FL

Each student is on their own unique walk with Jesus and our time at camp will seek to minister to students right where they are. This year we have an intentional emphasis on diving into the scriptures and trusting God to bring transformation in our lives through His Word. We are excited to have Pastor Orlando Cabrera as our speaker for the weekend!

Student Camp is an incredible opportunity for students to be refreshed in their relationship with the Lord. We are praying that students would be encouraged and challenged in their walk with Christ, and also continue to establish gospel community in their lives!

We will be building relationships with each other through small groups, fun activities, and more! Student Camp is going to be a blast!

Ride Nature Fundraising Banquet

Join our mission partners, Ride Nature as they host their annual Fundraising Banquet at our University Campus on Monday, February 28th.

From Ride Nature

We are coming out of such an exciting year with the ministry and we can't wait to share testimonies and stories of all that the Lord has done over the last 12 months. In 2021 we officially opened the doors to La Casa de Ride Nature in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, we launched the Skate Church Movement Curriculum (skatechurchmovement.com), we purchased our properties here in Fort Myers, and as our team has continued to grow, so has our impact both here in SWFL and the nations through action sports outreach, evangelism, and discipleship.

Revive Us

What has God been doing in your life through “Revive Us”? Consider sharing your story with us so that we might rejoice in God’s goodness with you!

“Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your steadfast love, O LORD, and grant us your salvation.” - Psalm 85:6-7

“Revive Us,” is an opportunity to gather as a church family that is spread throughout southwest Florida. We come together in order that we might worship, cry out, repent, and hear from the Lord. Amidst a hurried world we are all in need of an unhurried time to be with brothers and sisters, united in our anticipation of the Lord’s reviving touch.

Join us and our guest, Pastor John Onwuchekwa (read more about John below), on the evenings of February 6th-9th as we sing, pray, share testimonies, celebrate baptisms, and sit under the teaching of God’s Word, seeking to be refreshed as the Spirit applies the gospel to our hearts in renewing and reviving ways!

WHEN: February 6th-9th (Sunday - Wednesday) at 6:30pm
WHERE: University Campus

Childcare is provided.

ABOUT JOHN ONWUCHEKWA

A native of Houston, TX, John was born into a Nigerian home where the gospel was cherished deeply and modeled excellently. After graduating from college, he studied at Dallas Theological Seminary. He’s served at churches in both Texas and Georgia and in 2015 moved into the Historic West End to help plant Cornerstone Church with his best friends. He and his wife, Shawndra, have been married since 2007. They welcomed their daughter, Ava, in 2017. They are eager to see the hope of the gospel restore a sense of family, dignity, and hope to their neighborhood through their local church of ordinary people.

Membership Class

Membership Class blank.jpg

At Summit Church we practice covenant membership. A covenant is a formal agreement between two or more parties. In covenant membership, the church and the individual link arms, to live as light in the midst of a dark world. In this relationship, the church member is cared for, protected, and commissioned by the church. In turn, the church body is strengthened by its members who embrace and live out the mission of the church.

Interested in joining us for our next Membership Class? We would love to have you! In Membership Class, we’ll cover in detail our story, our mission, vision, and values, our discipleship outcomes, and what it means to covenant with us.

Choose your campus to learn more about when the next class is and how to register.

Christmas Outreach Project

Christmas Outreach Project

As we often say at Summit, we want to be a church that, if we ceased to exist, our community would actually miss us. Not for the name and glory of Summit, but for the glory of God and the work of His Kingdom. So to bless our community this Christmas season, and especially to represent the gospel, we are partnering with our local schools to help families in need by purchasing Christmas gifts and gift cards. We do this to remember, celebrate , and share that we’ve been given the ultimate gift, adoption through Jesus.

All three of our campuses will be participating, joining with 12 different school partners to bless families in need.

To participate, visit the tree or table at your campus in the galleria. There will be information that will clearly explain how you can help us build relationships and represent the love of Christ to families in our community.

Orphan Sunday

Orphan Sunday

On Sunday, November 7th, we will recognize Global Orphan Sunday as part of our Every Child Initiative.

The Every Child Initiative exists to glorify God by envisioning, equipping, and empowering disciples to have gospel impact in the lives of vulnerable children.

Our desire is that everyone who calls Summit Church “home” will partner with us in this gospel-motivated initiative and act on behalf of the vulnerable children who live in our communities and around our world.

Join us on Sunday, November 7th to hear stories, meet ministry partners, consider the plight of vulnerable children, and to ask the Father how He would have us respond.

We will also be hosting a Sunday evening of prayer and partner focus for those wanting to know more about how to get involved in the Every Child Initiative. That will be on Sunday, November 7th, at 6pm at the University Campus.

WOMEN’S SUMMER STUDY

Do you ever feel like you consistently frustrate and disappoint God? Maybe you know he loves everyone else, but have a difficult time believing it for yourself? Those thoughts can have a crushing effect on a person's spirit.

Consider Jesus' response to you, though! In Matthew 11:28, he says, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

In Gentle and Lowly, Dane Ortlund, "reflects on Jesus' words, diving deep into Bible passages that speak of Christ’s affections for sinners and encouraging believers as they journey, weary and faltering, toward heaven."

All Women are invited to join us on Wednesday evenings at our University Campus as we read and discuss it together. Our hope is that you will be encouraged as you consider the love of Christ toward you.
